Joke of the day…

understanding context.jpg

Shall I phone you with my smoke signal or perhaps my courier pigeon ?!?

To truly understand a problem, one needs to understand the context in which that problem exists. I hear random things like people phoning insurance companies to inform them of the death of a family member, and then the insurance company’s policy insists that the deceased has to send them a letter with xyz. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?

Point is… we often design solutions without truly understanding the context in which that solution should exist. Pointless.

During the scoping phase we do the following 3 things:

  1. define context
  2. identify function
  3. integrate Life’s Principles

Biomimicry aims to create sustainable designs, that are conducive to life.

We use the scoping phase to set standards, that will enable us to create well-adapted biomimicry inspired designs.

If any of this doesn’t make sense or if you would like to dive deeper into any of these modules, feel free to send me a DM on twitter:
